Children develop speech and language skills at their own rate. Missing one skill in the age range does not mean there is a problem. You may want to seek help to avoid delayed speech development, language issues, or academic difficulties.
Speech language pathologists (SLPs) work to improve the understanding and use of language, as well as social concepts necessary to engage within various environments. SLPs also provide therapy to assist in the formulation of sounds and rate of speech.
Central to our approach is building relationships. We strive to build a relationship with you and your child that fosters trust, respect, and joy! We know with that key ingredient, along with good communication, your child will have the best opportunity for progress.

When speech and language therapy happen in the natural environment, true fundamentals are formed. Intervention is able to build upon and provide support to enhance children's development through everyday learning opportunities. Children learn best through everyday experiences and interactions with familiar people in well-known contexts within their natural environments.
Speech and language therapy service models can vary for each child and family depending on the child’s needs and the family’s priorities. Services may be provided via telecommunication and Internet technology to remotely connect clinicians to clients for screening, assessment, intervention, consultation, and/or education. Telepractice is an appropriate model of service delivery for speech-language pathologists and may be the primary mode of service delivery, as necessary.
Speech and Language therapy addresses the following:
cognitive skills (thinking, learning, problem-solving);
communication skills (gesturing, talking, listening, understanding);
social–emotional skills (playing, understanding feelings, making friends);
Our practice helps infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of diagnoses and challenges to include speech and language disorders and other developmental issues.
